Pre-University College

What makes our Pre-University College Special?
We believe that education completes a man - a theme of the founder Sri R Dayananda Sagar. Attention is paid to the all-round development of students.

Our pre-university college is aided by high caliber, well-qualified staff and supported by well-laid out infrastructure in terms of laboratories, libraries, sports grounds, gymnasiums etc.

Eligibility for Admission :

Students who have passed SSLC of Karnataka State or any other examination recognized by the college are eligible for admission to I year P.U. of the two year Pre-University course. Admission of foreign candidates shall be made on the production of provisional eligibility certificate issued by the department of P.U. Education. The same rule is applicable to candidates who have done
ICSE or CBSE

Courses of Study :
Part I
Under part I students have to learn English and any one of the following languages:
Kannada, Hindi, Sanskrit, Tamil.

Part II
Any one of the following disciplines may be selected under this part :

  •  Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology
  •  Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science
  •  Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Electronics
  •  Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science
  •  History, Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy

    Pass and Eligibility :

    Minimum of 30 marks in each subject and a total of 210 marks out of maximum 600 marks (A minimum of 30 in each) I PU results will be announced on 10th of April every year. PU examination is conducted at district level and II year PU examination is conducted by the Pre-University Education Board at the end of the academic year.

    Laboratories :
    The college has well equipped laboratories and encourages students to utilize the lab facilities to the maximum extent.
