One of the major bold decisions taken by Dr. T. R. Gopalakrishnan Nair was the introduction of a high standard Journal series. Having witnessed the anomalies and exorbitant delays Indian intellectuals face in getting their work being published abroad enabled him to think about the possibility of a high quality peer reviewed journal in engineering and science, ensuring that the quality of knowledge will never be compromised. He wanted this series to be positioned as a set of Journals with quick response with minimum elapse time from receiving the Article to Review /rejection/acceptance process and realize the minimum time in presenting it to public. Excerpts of the first Editorial is given below. They are produced today with all formalities like ISSN numbers and with International Board of Editors.
