CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

Highlights: Accredited by NBA
Approved as a Centre of Excellence by VTU
Chemical engineering is a fascinating field to apply the basic principles of chemistry and physics to convert materials to value added products with engineering methods to deal in large scale. The   study develops the skills and expertise of chemical engineering in every student. It also instils the   basic human characteristics of interpersonal relationships, leadership qualities that are essential   for efficient running of industry and positive concern for this wonderful natural environment.
Approved Intake 30
What you study in   chemical engineering   Application of the engineering principles to the fundamental processes of   chemical sciences in order to value addition to the raw materials to make   more useful products to the mankind. A chemical engineer is unique in   that he is an engineer among engineers and chemist among chemists.
Application areas:There are unlimited areas of use of chemicals made for which, the skills of chemical engineers are very much used in one way or the other. Typical applications are   Petroleum products, fertilizers, agrochemicals, pesticides to aviation fuels
