Bachelor of Computer Applications: (BCA)

The objective of the programme is to open a channel of admission for computing courses for students, who have done the 10+2 and are interested in taking computing as a career. After acquiring the Bachelor's Degree (BCA) at IGNOU, there is further an educational opportunity to go in for MCA Programme at IGNOU or a Master's programme at another University.

Eligibility:

  • 10+2 or its equivalent with Maths as a distinct subject
    or
  • 10+2 or its equivalent without Mathematics as distinct subject students will have to register for MTE-03 and CIC in 1st Semester of BCA.
    or
  • 10+2 vocational stream in Computer Techniques/ Applications, or its equivalent, without Maths as a distinct subject. This category student will have to 'register for MTE-03 in the first semester of BCA.

CampusCourse Fee: Rs.11,100 Per Semester + Rs.2,100/- MTE-03 + Rs.9,900/- for CIC for non-maths Students
Course Duration: Minimum Duration: 3 Years Maximum Duration: 6 Years
Medium of Instruction: English
Counseling / Teaching Hours: 25 Hours Per Subject and maximum of 100 hours. Practical will be done at computer lab of the different departments of Dayananda Sagar Institutions.
