EDUCATION : Bachelor in Education(B. Ed)
Duration of Course: 1 Year of Two Semesters

Eligibility
A citizen of India who has passed B.A./ B.Sc. degree examination of Bangalore University or any University in India or abroad recognised as equivalent through 10+2+3 pattern of Education, obtaining 50% of marks in aggregate of all the subjects. If he/she has studied for 3 years, he/she is eligible for admission to the B.Ed. course provided:
1. He/she has studied in any one of the languages:
   Kannada | English | Hindi | Urdu | Marathi | Sanskrit
2. Any two of the following electives:
   History | Political Science | Sociology | Geography | Economics | Philosophy | Psychology | Physics | Chemistry |    Botany | Zoology | Geology | Mathematics | English | Kannada | Hindi | Urdu | Marathi | Sanskrit | Bio-Technology |    Computer Science | Electronics | Statistics

MMethods of Teachingof Teaching
The following content-cum methods of teaching school subjects will be provided in the College

Student/Teacher can opt two C.C.M’s of Teaching School Subject as per the combination given below

4. Sanskrit & History and Civics 16. Sanskrit & Mathematics

Attendance, Progress and Conduct
A student-teacher must have 80% of attendance in each semester in all theory papers and practical attendance. Shortage to the extent of 5% can be condoned by the university on the recommendation of the concerned Principal of the college, starting with a penalty of Rs. 300/- per subject in the case of theory papers, and Rs.300/- in the case of shortage of attendance to the extent of 5% in teaching practice.

A student-teacher must submit all assignments II & I to qualify him/her for appearing in the II- I Semester examinations.

Submission of assignments, appearing for class-tests and participation in practical activities conducted by the college in respect of core-papers, CCM papers, participation in CLC and Excursion are compulsory in order to be eligible for appearing I and II semester examinations.

Teaching Practice
Every student-teacher should prepare 12+1 lesson plans in each CCM subject which are to be guided and approved by the concerned method master. The marks of the best 5 lessons could be taken for awarding marks to practice in teaching.

Practice teaching shall be in one block or of the spread over-type, depending upon the convenience of the college with a minimum duration of 6 weeks.

1. Community Living Camp & Excursion
   Each Student- Teacher has to participate and submit the report on his/her participation in community living camp    exclusively conducted at a rural place by the College during the I Semester.
   Each student must compulsorily take part in excursion, visit places of Educational, Historical, Cultural, and    Technical importance, and submit a report to the College during the II-Semester.
